This sweetened matcha paste is made by adding beet sugar to Shizuoka-grown matcha for easy dissolving. Besides mixing with water or milk to make green tea or matcha lattes, it is also highly recommended to pour it directly over desserts like ice cream and anmitsu as a "matcha syrup."
